Denby Self Portrait
Studio Lighting for Portraits. Students were introduced to classical studio portrait lighting styles/techniques like Rembrandt Lighting, Checker-Board Lighting, Chiaroscuro Lighting, Edge and Background lighting. They were then to use these styles of lighting in creating portraits. This self-portrait is an excellent example of Rembrandt style lighting.
